Who or what do you think is the one doing “illegal” in online Manga? (Answer as fit.)?

Some things to think about:
-The author/artist (of the manga, manhwa manhua)
-The publishing company (ie. Shueisha)
-Online sites like (naver.com daum.net)
-The scanalating group (like TheCompany, egscans, mangastream)
-Online readers such as (mangafox mangareader batoto)
-We the readers like (me, you, and everyone else)

one? haha, how naive. there’s never only one person/organization in the wrong in situations such as this.

in this case, however, we can safely exclude the mangaka, i think. unless you deem them as wrong for not going to the appropriate authorities that deal with online piracy. i mean, c’mon, the mangaka’s job is to think of awesome ideas and draw them. that’s why there are other people involved in the publishing, to deal with distributing and all the other non-creative stuff. but, hey, maybe the mangaka is wrong for not tracking what’s happening with his/her works online, and thus not signaling someone about it. i mean, failure to disclose the knowledge of something illegal can be considered as aiding and abetting.

which means, the publishing company is somewhat at fault, for not taking any measures.
i’m not even going to pretend i know wth naver.com is, but that one is probably in the wrong too.

scanlation groups are just a bunch of knowledgeable fans. they don’t mean to do harm, in fact, they do what they do out of love. the only thing they are at fault for is providing us with translated manga, instead of just reading it for themselves and not sharing.

online readers are at fault for putting the scanlation groups’ works in one place, making it easy and comfortable to read online. all for our viewing pleasure.

us. according to the previous two variables, and a tinge of logic that connects us to the other variables as well, we are the root of it all. we are the most at fault, although not entirely.

the percentage of wrongness of each variable differs with the point of view of the person reading this by taking into account, aside from a bunch of other things, the belonging(or not) of said person to one of the explored variables.
